2. VISAS FOR MORE THAN 90 DAYS STAY:

Foreigners planning to stay in Ecuador for more than 90 days and up to 180 days need to apply for a tourist visa 12-IX, which can be extended 6 more months in Ecuador. This visa is also necessary for foreigners who will get married in Ecuador.

The following documents must be presented:

* Application letter with the purpose of the visit and the resident address of the applicant
* Valid passport
* Medical certificate
* 3 photographs
* 230 US dollars (200 visa, 30 application form)
* Two ways flight ticket
* Nationals of other countries applying for this type of visa in the Nordic and Baltic countries must also present a resident permit
* Free of charge for citizens from Colombia, Spain and Paraguay
